Madison Square Garden remains an absolute fortress in the postseason. The New York Knicks executed a flawless second-half game plan to secure a 109-93 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, building a commanding 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. With this commanding performance, the New York franchise locked in its ninth consecutive playoff victory, moving closer to securing an elusive NBA Finals berth for the first time since 1999.

The contest featured a tight tactical battle in the first half, but the ultimate turning point materialized right after intermission. The roster coached by Mike Brown turned up the defensive pressure, triggering easy transition buckets that fueled a decisive, back-breaking 18-0 scoring run to establish a 71-53 lead. While Cleveland had successfully erased a 22-point deficit in Game 1, they lacked the execution to counter the third-quarter onslaught tonight. The Knicks took the frame 32-21, logging their highest-scoring quarter of the matchup.

New York's offensive attack clicked on all cylinders. Swingman Josh Hart spearheaded the scoring sheet, netting a game-high 26 points. All-Star guard Jalen Brunson masterfully orchestrated the offense, logging a double-double with 19 points and 14 assists, while center Karl-Anthony Towns anchored the interior with a powerful 18-point, 13-rebound double-double performance. The absolute dominance on the floor prompted loud chants of "Knicks in four!" echoing through the Garden corridors late in the fourth quarter.

On the visitors' side, Donovan Mitchell carried the heaviest load for the Cavaliers, logging 26 points across 39 minutes on the hardwood. Despite veteran guard James Harden chipping in with 18 points, Cleveland struggled heavily with live-ball turnovers during New York's pivotal run, stalling their half-court sets.

The series now shifts to a challenging environment for the frontrunners. Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, where the Cavaliers hold a formidable 6-1 home record during the current postseason run and will desperately look to avoid a 3-0 deficit.
