Morocco’s ascension into football’s elite bracket is no longer a temporary narrative. Following their historic semi-final run in Qatar, the Atlas Lions finalized a fiercely competitive 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup, signaling their intent to dictate terms in a demanding Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.

The structural foundation of this roster relies heavily on dual-nationality integration. Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has maximized the cultural and tactical links with European academies, naming eight players with Spanish-football developmental roots.

Real Madrid’s Brahim Díaz and Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi serve as the premier examples of this blueprint, supplying world-class tactical awareness and transition speed out of wide areas. The Atlas Lions enter the tournament carrying the operational momentum of a 5-0 friendly thrashing over Burundi, showing elite attacking rhythm before their upcoming warm-up fixtures against Madagascar and Norway.

Defensively, Morocco boasts a highly structured block capable of stifling elite transitions. Yassine Bounou (Al-Hilal) commands the penalty box, supported by Premier League and Serie A pedigree via Nayef Aguerd and Noussair Mazraoui.

The midfield layout features tactical versatility with Girona's Azzedine Ounahi handling structural distribution, alongside the veteran anchoring presence of Sofyan Amrabat. With deep attacking depth provided by Olympiacos forward Ayoub El Kaabi, the African champions hold the tactical variance needed to challenge Brazil on June 13 at the MetLife Stadium.
