LMB Results: Acereros Crush Durango with 16 Runs; Olmecas Edge Diablos Rojos

The Acereros de Monclova delivered a masterclass in power hitting by scoring 16 runs against Durango, while the Olmecas de Tabasco claimed a thrilling 6-5 victory over the league-leading Diablos Rojos.




The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) provided a night of fireworks and nail-biting finishes across the country. The Acereros de Monclova stole the headlines, dismantling Caliente de Durango’s pitching staff in a commanding 16-7 blowout that showcased their championship aspirations.


In one of the most anticipated matchups of the evening, the Olmecas de Tabasco held their ground at home to defeat the Diablos Rojos del México 6-5. It was a tactical battle where Tabasco’s timely hitting overcame a late-game push by the "Red Devils." Meanwhile, the Toros de Tijuana managed to edge out the Dorados de Chihuahua in a 7-6 thriller, showing resilience in a game that went down to the final out.


Other key performances included the Sultanes de Monterrey maintaining their North Division lead with a 4-2 win over Rieleros, and the Charros de Jalisco showcasing their depth by handing the Saraperos a heavy 10-2 loss in Saltillo. The Pericos de Puebla emerged victorious in an 8-7 offensive duel against Bravos de León, while the Leones de Yucatán handled business with a 6-3 win over Piratas de Campeche.


Rounding out the scoreboard, the Tecos de los Dos Laredos narrowly beat the Algodoneros 5-4, and the Conspiradores de Querétaro secured a 4-3 win against the Tigres de Quintana Roo.
