Julián Quiñones delivered a sensational finish to the Saudi Pro League season, scoring a hat trick for Al Qadsiah FC to secure the league’s Golden Boot award.
Quiñones scored three times in a 5-1 victory over Al Ittihad Club during the final round of the season, finishing with 33 league goals and overtaking both Ivan Toney and Cristiano Ronaldo in the scoring race.
The Mexican forward entered the final match level with Toney in the standings before producing a dominant performance. Two first-half goals allowed him to tie the lead before he completed his hat trick after halftime to claim the outright scoring title.
Quiñones reached 33 goals in only 31 league appearances, becoming one of the most productive players in Saudi football this season.
The final scoring table saw Quiñones finish first with 33 goals, ahead of Ivan Toney with 32 and Cristiano Ronaldo with 28.
Despite Al Qadsiah finishing outside the title race, Quiñones’ individual season significantly raised his international profile ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The striker is expected to join the Mexico national football team camp soon as head coach Javier Aguirre continues preparations for the tournament in North America.
