Barcelona once again sits on top of European women’s football.

The Catalan club defeated OL Lyonnes 4-0 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, delivering a dominant second-half performance to secure its fourth continental title.

Led by braces from Ewa Pajor and Salma Paralluelo, Barcelona added another European crown after previous triumphs in 2021, 2023 and 2024. The victory also marked another painful defeat for OL Lyonnes against Barça after the French side lost the 2024 final to the same opponent.

The opening half was balanced and intense. Both clubs created dangerous opportunities, but strong goalkeeping and missed chances kept the match scoreless at halftime.

OL Lyonnes thought it had opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Lindsey Heaps after a rebound from Cata Coll, but VAR ruled the goal offside.

Barcelona responded with chances from Alexia Putellas and Ewa Pajor, who missed two clear opportunities before the break. Meanwhile, Jule Brand struck the crossbar and Selma Bacha forced an impressive save from Coll on a dangerous free kick.

The match completely shifted after halftime.

Pajor finally broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with a low angled finish inside the box. The goal changed the momentum and allowed Barcelona to take control of the final.

The Polish striker struck again in the 69th minute to complete her brace and finish the tournament as the competition’s top scorer with 11 goals.

As OL Lyonnes pushed forward searching for a comeback, Barcelona exploited the open spaces late in the match. Salma Paralluelo delivered the final blow with two goals in stoppage time, including a spectacular strike from outside the box and a clinical finish on the counterattack.

Goalkeeper Cata Coll also played a decisive role, producing crucial saves against Hegerberg, Becho and Chawinga during key moments of the match.

With the victory, Barcelona reached its seventh Champions League final in eight seasons and further solidified its place among the greatest dynasties in women’s football history.
